Frederik Van Overtveldt

Frederik Van Overtveldt was admitted to the Antwerp bar in 2008 and joined the firm as a partner in December 2018.

He has built up extensive experience in national and international company acquisitions (private M&A), offering support to clients throughout the entire process and all of its different aspects. This means, among other things, that he actively develops the structure, oversees the negotiations, can quickly put together a team to carry out a due diligence investigation and can provide all the necessary agreements. The delivery of individually tailored agreements, that are unique to each transaction, is of crucial importance in this regard.

Frederik also advises financial institutions in the context of compliance with the legal and/or regulatory rules on integrity and conduct (compliance).

Frederik also has in-depth expertise in handling complex company disputes, restructurings, offering support and guidance to directors and shareholders in the exercise of their rights, commercial intermediaries (distribution, agency, etc.) and, more generally, in giving advice on all aspects of commercial and company law.

Frederik received his Master of Laws in 2007 from the University of Antwerp and subsequently obtained a Master after Master in Business Law from the University of Ghent in 2008. In 2013, he obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Finance (Corporate Finance) from KU Leuven with honours.
