New partners in our team: Stéphanie Schepens and Noëmi Callaert

We are proud to announce the nomination of Mr. Noëmi Callaert and Mr. Stéphanie Schepens as partners. Both of them have been trusted members of the Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers team for many years. They are indispensable for the qualitative and professional follow-up of numerous files.

Their personal track record

Stéphanie Schepens

Stéphanie Schepens obtained her law degree at UAntwerpen in 2011, followed by an LL.M. in French and European law at the University Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne. She was admitted to the Antwerp bar in October 2012.

Stéphanie first received extensive training in private construction law at a renowned Antwerp law firm. During her internship, she was elected to serve as representative for the interns at the Antwerp Bar Association. In 2015, after completing her internship, Stéphanie Schepens joined Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers, in the team of Mr. Kristof Uytterhoeven.

In 2016, Stéphanie obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Real Estate Science from the KU, given her special interest in real estate law.

Besides her expertise in private construction law, Stéphanie also specializes in broader real estate law, insurance and liability law and contract law.

Noëmi Callaert

In 2013, Noëmi Callaert obtained her law degree from the KU Leuven, after which she obtained her Master after Master in Company Law at the Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel (HUB).

Since 2014, Noëmi has been active as a lawyer at the Antwerp Bar and a valued member of Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers. She started her career as a trainee lawyer under the wings of Mr. Kristiaan Caluwaerts. Today, she continues to strengthen the corporate team, specializing in corporate law, company law and M&A.

Since 2022, Noëmi is the co-chair of the Berchem business association Link 26. Link 26 facilitates interaction between local entrepreneurs, business leaders and executives of companies from Berchem and the surrounding area.

Their experience at Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven

While growing personally and professionally at Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers, both Noëmi and Stéphanie have also seen the firm grow over the years. "When I had just started, there was a team of about 15 lawyers. Soon there will be 60 lawyers and staff. It's great to see the growth the firm has experienced. I myself have grown professionally along with Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven, and I am looking forward to further supporting the growth of the firm and its staff as a partner in the coming years," says Noëmi.

Stéphanie likes to add: "Despite this exponential growth in recent years, we see that the DNA of Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven, the team spirit and positive working atmosphere, is and remains very important. This is what makes our office so unique and a great place to work. I am therefore very pleased to be able to help contribute to the strength of this unique office."

Besides the positive working atmosphere, they also stress the importance of maintaining a high standard when it comes to the quality of their work.

Stéphanie is very grateful to Kristof Uytterhoeven for the trust and professional guidance she has received over the years. From the beginning, she was given the opportunity to independently manage files from A to Z and make strategic decisions. The quality of the work always came first.

Noëmi too emphasizes that delivering high quality service to clients is essential. "Our clientele must be able to receive the best possible service, a 5-star service."

Their perspective on the future

"Being able to make a difference for clients in disputes both in and out of court is what motivates me. In the future, this may have to be done differently because of the many and rapid technological developments. Even the legal profession cannot stand still and must evolve in this area. It is why I am looking forward to taking on these new challenges and to help translate and shape them within our firm," according to Stéphanie.

Noëmi is also motivated to begin the new chapter. "I am happy to have the opportunity to take this new step in my career and I hope to make my personal impact on the office. I want to remain committed to quality and a positive work atmosphere. I find it very important to keep the quality of work high, which is facilitated by a nice work environment that motivates and inspires our employees."

We are delighted that Stéphanie and Noëmi are continuing to work with Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven Lawyers as partners. It is a recognition for the work they provide, and for their years of dedication. Congratulations!
