Thomas Vertriest

Thomas Vertriest has been practising as a lawyer since 2008.  He is affiliated with the Bar of Antwerp and joined our firm as a partner in 2025.

Mr Vertriest specialises in all aspects of employment law. He advises both large and small businesses and individual employees on a wide range of legal issues around labour and employment. Combining his problem-solving, to-the-point and pragmatic approach with a keen eye for detail, he strives to find the most efficient and lasting solution in every case.

Mr Vertriest graduated with distinction as a Master of Laws from KU Leuven in 2006. He then completed an LLM specialising in European Law at King's College London, again graduating with distinction, which enabled him to further broaden his legal knowledge and develop an international perspective on complex issues. Over the course of 2010 and 2011, he took a continuing education course in Social Law at the University of Antwerp to further expand his knowledge of his specialist subject.

Mr Vertriest started his career as a lawyer at an international law firm, where he gained a broad range of experience.

Between 2009 and 2012, he worked for the employment and social security law division of Stappers, Eliarts & Thiers.

Mr Vertriest has been practising as a lawyer in Turnhout since 2012. He took a post as head of the Employment Law division at Anturlex Advocaten in 2013, and has carried on in the same post at Caluwaerts Uytterhoeven since 2025.
